The TOP DOGS STARTING WITH P, YOU NEED TO KNOW NOW!

Although dogs are often referred to as man’s best friend, the reality of it is that not all dogs are made equal. Some are bigger and more active, while others are smaller, calmer, and more suited to apartment life.

Whatever you’re looking for in your four-legged companion, you can be sure that there is a dog breed out there to meet your needs. In this article, we’ll take a look at twelve popular dog breeds that start with the letter P, including some helpful information about each one to help you decide which breed might be right for your family!

Papillon

Papillon dogs are small, agile, and very affectionate. Papillons will generally get along with other pets in your home but they can be a bit high-strung, so it’s important to socialize them early on.

If you’re looking for an active dog that loves to play fetch or chase a tennis ball, this is a great breed for you! Papillons have droopy ears that give them an adorable appearance and their tails usually curl up over their back.

These little dogs make wonderful companions for people living in small apartments or condos as long as they are taken on daily walks or allowed to run around in the backyard.

Pembroke Welsh Corgi

One of my favorite breed of dogs is the Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Corgis are a very interesting breed that originated in Wales. They were originally bred to herd cattle and sheep, so if you live on a farm or have livestock, a Corgi might be a good choice for you.

The two most common colors for this breed are red and sable with black markings, although they come in other colors as well. They have short legs with long backs and big ears that give them their signature look. They’re also known for having a waddle when they walk because of their short front legs.

Pointer Dog

The Pointer dog is a very intelligent and energetic breed. They’re also easy to train, making them a popular choice for hunters as well as families that enjoy training their pets. This breed was originally bred to point at the game while hunting.

The Pointers have an excellent sense of smell and they have the instinct to point at anything that moves. If you’re looking for a great family pet or hunter, consider adding this amazing dog breed to your home.

Pomeranian

Pomeranians are small, fluffy dogs with big personalities. They were originally bred in Germany to be companions for royalty but eventually became popular as pets for families across Europe. They’re known for their thick, wooly coats and compact size.

Pomeranians love to play, so they need plenty of exercises and human interaction. They may bark when left alone and can get anxious if not given enough attention. But don’t let all that cuteness fool you—they’re fiercely independent and will insist on doing things their way!

Pug

The Pug is a tiny dog breed with a wrinkly face and short tail that’s shaped like a corkscrew. They are one of the most popular breeds in the United States, ranked number 7 out of 193 breeds according to AKC registrations for 2016. They are often referred to as the clowns of the canine world because they’re so funny and goofy!

Pugs are intelligent, friendly, and playful dogs who love children and make good companions for people living in small apartments. However, they can be stubborn at times so training them takes patience. They also have sensitive stomachs which can lead to digestive issues if not fed properly or exposed to certain food allergens. Poodle

The Poodle (French for frizzled) is a breed of dog that has been selectively bred since the 16th century to produce a water-resistant coat and has often been called the clowns of the canine world or the pampered pooches.

It was originally developed as a type of gun dog, used in bird hunting. The French version looks more like a standard poodle. The American Kennel Club describes the breed as an intelligent, alert dog that is eager to please and highly trainable.

Poodles are one of six breeds that originated in Germany.

Pharaoh Hound

The Pharaoh Hound is a medium-sized dog that originated in Egypt. It has long, silky hair that can be either black or tan, and it also has a short tail and erect ears. These are friendly dogs that are often good with other animals and humans alike.

They are said to be very intelligent, but they need to have things to do to keep them occupied because they can become bored easily if there’s nothing for them to do. The Pharaoh Hound is one of the oldest breeds of hound dogs known today!

Pyrenean Shepherd

The Pyrenean Shepherd is a large, gentle breed that originates from France. They are known for their intelligence and loyal nature. These dogs were bred to guard sheep, but they can also be trained to work as service or assistance animals. The Pyrenean shepherd does not do well in colder climates or warmer climates with high humidity, so it’s best to live somewhere in between those two extremes.

The Pyrenean Shepherd is an intelligent dog breed with a strong desire to work. They need plenty of exercise, training, and mental stimulation to keep them happy and healthy. If these are not provided regularly, they may develop behavioral problems such as destructive behaviors or excessive barking.
